For well-over a decade, Zane has been focused on industrial real estate transactions, primarily of institutional-quality assets in the Greater Seattle / Puget Sound market. Over the course of his career, he has brokered or participated in the sale and leasing of over 20,000,000 square feet of space, with a total transaction value in excess of $500 million. With a multifaceted skill set, he is adept and experienced in both leasing and sales (representing buyers, sellers, landlords, and tenants alike), and despite the complexities, he is proficient at investment property sales, as well as land sales and real estate development projects. In his previous role, Zane was integral in the launch, growth, and establishment of a boutique real estate firm, which is now considered a heavyweight service provider in the local marketplace, competing successfully against the larger national firms. Zane became a trusted advisor for notable clients, including Prologis, Vulcan Real Estate, Terreno Realty, Deutsche Asset Management (fka RREEF), TA Associates Realty, Prudential, Global Logistics Properties (GLP), Panattoni Development, Black Creek Group (IIT/IPT), Barings (fka Cornerstone Real Estate Advisers), among many other venerable companies, municipalities, and organizations. Zane has worked nationally with major tenants, such as early Amazon.com, Expeditors International, Thrift Books, Trinity Glass International; and locally has represented tenants like Bridgestone Tires, Livible, Macy’s, Safeway, and many others. Prior to his commercial real estate career, Zane was in the corporate finance and investment banking field, focused on corporate mergers and acquisitions, public/private stock offerings, and business valuation services. The experience he earned in the field enables him to analyze the financial situation of his clients and the effects that real estate decisions have on the balance sheet. His experience offers a unique perspective to commercial real estate transactions and results in an added advantage in the marketplace, given his deep understanding of macroeconomic trends and the dynamics of the capital markets as it pertains to commercial real estate.
