William “Bill” Kerdyk Jr. is President and CEO of Kerdyk Real Estate and President of Kerdyk Referral Service. A full-service real estate brokering headquartered in Coral Gables Florida. Through his focus on personalized and professional service, Bill has built his family-owned business up to be one of the most successful real estate companies in South Florida. His company, which brokers both Commercial and Residential transactions, has grown at a tremendous pace. The Property Management component of the business allows Kerdyk Real Estate to compete as a full-service brokerage business. The company’s newest Division of Bankruptcies, Foreclosures and Estates focuses on the efficient disposition of REO and distressed properties. His company represents numerous banking institutions, selling REO’s and advising them on distressed assets. Bill has served as a court-appointed Receiver. He provides a unique expertise, combining both his knowledge of Real Estate and Financial Banking experience. In addition to his Real Estate Business, Bill was elected in 1995 to serve as a Coral Gables City Commissioner. He was re-elected in 1999, 2003, 2007 and most recently in 2011. He serves the community in the capacity of Vice Mayor and has initiated many programs to enhance the quality of life for the residents. Some of his initiatives include Parknership, a public and private partnership which has raised over a million dollars to purchase and enhance open spaces, along with the successful Coral Gables Trolley, and landscape downtown master plan and instituting traffic calming measures in our community. Currently Bill also serves as Chairman of the Board and was the initial Founder of the Bank of Coral Gables. This 150-million-dollar banking institution is headquartered in Coral Gables, Florida. His international business experience includes being Founder and organizer of the annual Toyota World Junior Golf Championship. Bill runs not only this golf championship in Japan, but also organizes and runs tournaments around the world. He has travels extensively in each of the six golf-playing continents. Bill also serves on numerous boards. Currently he is on the board of trustees for Gulliver Schools and is a board member of Big Brothers and Big Sisters. Bill is an active member of several organizations including Rotary and The Orange Bowl Committee. On the State level, Bill served on the Public Service Commission Nominating Council and was appointed by Governor Jeb Bush to the Metropolitan Planning Organization. He was also elected to participate in the prestigious Leadership Florida program. He has received many awards and honors including having been designated among the Outstanding Young Men in America and selected for inclusion in the Who’s Who of America. Bill has been a resident of Coral Gables his entire life. He graduated from Coral Gables High School and holds a BBA in Real Estate from Florida International University. He and his wife Lynn, a clinical child psychologist at the University of Miami, have three children. His company, Kerdyk Real Estate, has been proudly serving the South Florida community since 1926.
