Whitney Gallivan

Whitney Gallivan joined Boston Realty Advisors in 2015 as a Managing Director and Partner of the Retail Division. With over 13 years of experience in retail leasing, development, and investment sales, Whitney brings an extensive and unique skill set to the platform. Whitney has been at the forefront of retail evolution in Boston with recent success as the exclusive, on-site leasing consultant for the redevelopment of The Shops at Prudential Center, the largest mixed-use real estate complex in New England. Gallivan successfully secured high-profile tenants including, but not limited to, Under Armour, Tesla, Madewell, Shinola and Warby Parker. Gallivan was then retained by Jamestown Properties, one of the most innovative retail developers in the US, as the exclusive retail consultant for the Newbury Collection: 28 mixed-use properties encompassing over 220,000 square feet of street-level retail in Boston’s Back Bay. Most recently, the New York-based real estate firm, Ashkenazy Acquisition Corp. (AAC) hired Gallivan to revamp the retail offering at Faneuil Hall Marketplace, the most iconic shopping and dining destination in Boston. Gallivan was brought on in 2017 to create and execute the plan to re-tenant the property by creating a shopping and dining destination that is quintessential Boston by bringing together local, regional, and national brands that align with Faneuil Hall’s unique history. With AAC’s purchase of South Station, Boston busiest train and bus transportation hub, Gallivan will be the exclusive retail consultant for the redevelopment of South Station. Prior to joining Boston Realty Advisors, she worked in the Capital Markets group at HFF, Inc. where she was involved in over $800 million of investment sales and $420 million of debt transactions. Whitney spent the bulk of her career as one of the top producers for WS Development, one of the largest privately-held retail developers in the nation. Whitney’s experience leasing the nation’s premier open-air shopping centers has led to expansive relationships with local, regional, and national retail tenants. Whitney is an active member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), NEWIRE/CREW, NAIOP, REFA and ULI. Whitney received a Bachelor of Arts from Wellesley College majoring in International Relations. She currently resides in the South End of Boston with her wife and daughter, and enjoys golfing, fishing, snowboarding and basketball. Whitney is actively involved in the Big Brothers/Big Sister of America where she mentors a 7 year old girl.
