Mr. Kumagai proved to be a quick study and the Association of Silicon Valley Brokers (ASVB) named him Rookie of the Year in 2002. Mr. Kumagai is dedicated to finding the best opportunities for his clients and giving them excellent service, which has resulted in many referrals and consistent repeat business. He is an annual top performer at Newmark Knight Frank (NorCal) and was a Top Five Producer for Northern California in both 2011 and 2012. Since joining the industry, Mr. Kumagai has completed 707 transactions totaling more than 5.5 million square feet with a value in excess of $921.7 million. Before beginning his real estate career, Mr. Kumagai worked with both Adobe Systems and Network Associates. He also launched and owned his own golf accessories company. This well-rounded work background, in addition to his education in finance, helps him understand the needs of his clients, whether they are a Fortune 500 company or a startup. When working on a tenant assignment, Mr. Kumagai, with the Client Solutions team, uses a strategic process that focuses on understanding client needs, thinking through the options, acting and following through on every transaction.
