Valerie Zumot

Valerie works to support office and retail leasing activity within the Blake portfolio while holding third-party retail investment sales and retail lease listings. Valerie’s career began in retail investment sales at JLL where she underwrote and marketed about $500M of retail assets including power centers, malls, grocery-anchored centers, and unanchored neighborhood strip centers. Her retail investment sales experience extended into further roles at retail development firm, BHM Properties in Orlando, Florida where Valerie led the retail acquisitions efforts and investment sales process of over $10M in retail dispositions in one year. Prior to joining Blake, Valerie worked at Monument Retail, the retail division of Monument Realty in Washington, D.C. She worked to expand the portfolio through acquisitions and leasing and focused on dispositions of urban retail assets. Valerie held a tenant representation portfolio of new-to-market clients, requiring expansion into the DC market. Valerie is skilled at guiding clients through identifying opportunities, underwriting, and closing on retail assets in targeted markets throughout Washington, DC. She holds an active real estate license in Washington D.C. as well as Florida. Valerie has a Bachelor of Arts in International Economic Relations and Business from American University. She is fluent in English and Arabic.
