Tracy Seiger
She was born and raised in Lancaster County. There’s so much to love about Lancaster! She grew up in a rural area outside of Millersville, sledding in the cornfields, shelling lima beans grown in her grandfather’s garden, and eating strawberry shortcake and apple dumplings for supper. At age 21, she married her high school sweetheart, and by age 24 they were blessed with a beautiful baby girl. Three years later, “The Boy” as they affectionately called him, joined their family. He was their bundle of fun from day one! She started her real estate career working for 5 years as an administrative assistant with a local appraiser. She still has a direct hotline into his office for advice on unique properties! When she made the decision to re-enter the workplace outside of home after being home with their children and providing in-home childcare services for the next 10 years, she did so through social services. She spent 9 years, 3 of those last years as the program coordinator, working one on one with at-risk families in their home environment teaching, encouraging, supporting and mentoring. While extremely challenging at times, the rewards from making personal connections with the families & individuals she worked with, were far greater. It was not uncommon to hear, “You are the first person who’s ever treated me (or her kids) with respect. It was through her work with these families that she came across and later adopted the tagline “Be the change you wish to see in the world.”
