THOMAS S. KRAUSE, CCIM, a principal in R.E.A.C.T., has been involved in the real estate industry his entire life. The third generation of a family involved in real estate in Ohio, Tom came to Florida in 1983 to attend Florida State University. After obtaining his undergraduate degree in real estate, he went to work for The Elmer J. Krauss Organization in Tampa. The Krauss Organization was the largest and one of the oldest industrial developers on the west coast of Florida. While there, Tom’s responsibilities included investment analysis and acquisitions, development and property management. After spending four years working in this capacity, Tom decided to focus on real estate marketing. He became a full-time broker, where he specialized in industrial and investment real estate, consistently ranking among the top brokers for the firm. During his first 3 years as an active broker, Tom has participated in the sale and leasing of more than $18 million dollars of commercial real estate. With the foundation of R.E.A.C.T., Tom left the Krauss Organization in 1992 with a desire to become more active as a principal in commercial investment property. R.E.A.C.T. provided an opportunity for “hands on” experience in formation, management, and disposition of investment real estate. Tom received his CCIM designation in 1996. This designation is the highest commercial investment designation available through the National Association of Realtors, to specialists in commercial investment real estate. As a partner and principal with R.E.A.C.T. for over 30 years, Tom has been involved in the formation, ownership and management of numerous investment properties. These properties include office/flex, retail, office and mixed-use buildings. He continues to look for value-added investments and turnaround opportunities with the objective of long term ownership. By utilizing his experience, knowledge, and management skills he is actively pursuing the goal of creating successful commercial real estate investments in the Tampa Bay area.
