Tom Bacon has been assisting clients with their commercial real estate needs since 1984. He started as an office broker in Southern California; first with the Charles Dunn Company where he was awarded “Rookie of the Year” and then at Cushman & Wakefield. While at Cushman & Wakefield, Tom specialized in tenant representation in West Los Angeles and he was involved in numerous assignments including a 340,000 square foot, office lease, the largest, private sector lease ever signed in the Los Angeles region at the time. Tom has navigated his clients through numerous leasing and sales transactions. He has tackled just about every type of commercial real estate transaction, but focuses on office leasing and sales. In 1991 Tom moved to Sacramento and worked with Newmark Cornish & Carey. He specialized in office leasing and sales. As time went on, Tom expanded his market coverage to include most of Sacramento’s suburban markets. In addition to leasing and selling office properties, Tom has been involved with numerous sales in the Midtown & Downtown markets for residential development. In 2003, Tom founded Bacon Commercial Real Estate and since then has leased and sold over 1,000,000 SF including leases with the following: representing large institutional projects and representing occupiers including many local mid-size companies, Fortune 500 Companies, the State of California, Non Profits and, Associations. Outside of commercial real estate, Tom enjoys a variety of activities including music, travel, golf, open water swimming, and cooking gold medal chili. Tom is an active member of Rotary International, Junior Achievement, the Youth Incentive Program (YIP) and The First Tee.
