Tom Sanford has been active in the real estate and mortgage banking industries since 1982 and holds brokers licenses in both Wisconsin and California. In 1992, Mr. Sanford''s passion for the game of golf coupled with his real estate expertise culminated in his decision to specialize in the brokerage of golf courses. Since that time, Mr. Sanford has participated in the sale of numerous daily fee courses and private country clubs and has represented both buyers and sellers in transactions that have ranged from single operators looking to acquire their first facility to large national corporations looking to add to their existing portfolio. In addition to brokerage services, Tom also provides consulting services to the golf course industry. In 1997, Mr. Sanford became involved in the development of new golf course facilities. Mr. Sanford, along with David Simon, President of DSI Real Estate Group, Inc. founded Aviation Golf Services with the sole intent to develop golf courses on airport greenways and buffer zones throughout the United States. In his current capacity as Director of Development for Aviation Golf Courses, Mr. Sanford oversees all facets of airport golf course development from initial concept through design and construction. Mr. Sanford''s first airport golf course project was the Bridges Golf Course at Dane County Regional Airport, an 18-hole championship golf course opening in the spring of 2000. Currently, Mr. Sanford is working on several new golf course projects including an upscale daily fee on the East Coast and an 18-hole facility with a junior course in California. Mr. Sanford is a member of the National Golf Foundation and the National Association of Realtors. Tom lives in Madison, Wisconsin with his wife Laurie and three children-Chance, Chelsey and Chandler.
