Thomas 'TP' Kennedy
4th Generation Vero Beach NativeThomas ("TP") Kennedy is a 4th generation native of Indian River County and member of a family that settled in Indian River County in 1907. His ancestors were citrus farmers that moved from Gainesville, Florida to take advantage of more favorable weather conditions for citrus in this coastal area. TP attended St. Edwards School through graduation in 1997. Thereafter, he attended the University of Florida where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a Minor in Agriculture. After graduation, he returned to Indian River County and pursued a career in citrus (farming, packinghouse and citrus export operations) and real estate in the family's various businesses. Along the way, he married his wife, Regina, and are raising three natural children and several foster children (adopting one). TP and Regina are active in the foster care community and actively support the "UP" program (United Against Poverty). They are active in a local church and have gone on many mission trips to Central America together. TP coaches little league baseball and has coached lacrosse at the elementary and middle school levels. The family enjoys boating and fishing on the Indian River and offshore, participating annually in the Exchange Club Blue Water Open here in Sebastian. Throughout his career, TP has been an active member of the Indian River, St. Lucie and Brevard County business communities. He is a past President and Chairman of the Indian River Citrus League; a past Director of the Orange Growers Marketing Association (a division of Florida Natural); and a member of the Board of Directors of the Micco Homeowners Association. Becoming a licensed Realtor was a natural extension of TP's career. It provides him with an opportunity to expand his personal and business relationships; and use his knowledge of the region to bring buyers and sellers together.
