ABOUT

Stephen Spelman graduated from Cornell University with Bachelor of Science Degrees in Business/Marketing and Psychology. He has been involved in the field of commercial real estate for over twenty-five years and joined the Lee & Associates® team in January 1995. Mr. Spelman is active as a consultant and broker, specializing in industrial real estate, locating and accessing invest- ment grade real estate for institutional and private investors and assisting corporations interested in development and/or relocation to Southern Nevada particularly for warehousing and large distribution. He is well versed in the development process from land assessment/procurement, through building and sales/leasing. Stephen is an advisory member of the Henderson and Las Vegas Chambers of Commerce, the Henderson Development Association, the Henderson Real Estate Advisory Board and the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP). After graduation from Cornell, following a tryout with the Washington Redskins, Stephen entered the incentive travel marketing business and gained national recognition for his innovative approach to new incentive programs. In 1980, Mr. Spelman moved to Southern California and spent six years as a top producing industrial broker, manager and owner. In 1987, Mr. Spelman was asked to expand his marketing approaches to the Resort Development business, where he was successful in targeting the elusive and specific market for high-end resort properties, as well as directing various sales/marketing operations. Prior to joining Lee & Associates®, he worked with a variety of companies helping to procure their ideal industrial or resort locations and directly with developers marketing and selling large master planned projects. Additionally, he has consulted on many projects as to their specific marketing strategies and feasabilities in both resort and industrial/commercial developments. He has written articles on marketing and sales, ranging from specific perspectives to the conceptual theory and is presently working on a multi-article series and a book on the future of marketing and sales evolution. Mr. Spelman has represented a variety of clients in successfully fulfilling their large requirements. Some of note include: Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Company, Ocean Spray, Breyers, International Paper, I.T.T., WRICO International, Multiple Zones, Hilton International, Jostens Corp., Dunn Properties, Pacific Properties, American Pacific Corp., LandWell Company, Princess International, S.W. Gas, TransWorld, Grainger and Tsuda International. Mr. Spelman is a licensed broker in the State of Nevada and is a Senior Vice President with the firm.
