Stephen Shannon

Stephen R. Shannon brings over 19 years of real estate experience as a principal, manager, and agent to Goodfire Realty LLC. Shannon founded Colo Development Partners LLC in 2016 to provide commercial real estate investment and development opportunities to a select group of investment partners. Capitalizing on over $150 billion in financial transactional experience, he began investing in the rapidly growing North Texas marketplace. Before starting Colo, Shannon built Lava Oil and Gas, Inc., an enhanced oil and gas recovery, production, and development business, and serves as the President. Before Lava, Shannon managed the financial and investment activity for the Denkmann family office, which included creating one of the largest mining operations in the southeast and private investments in timberland, oil and gas, commercial real estate, and banking. The Denkmann family office managed the multi-generational wealth created by Frederick Denkmann, one of two founders of the Denkmann Weyerhauser Lumber Company dating back to 1860. Shannon received a BBA in Finance from Southern Methodist University and an Executive Education in Forestry from Yale University. He is engaged in several civic and philanthropic endeavors, including Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Denton County, Woman to Woman Pregnancy Resource Center, American Cancer Society, Argyle Youth Sports, and Young Life. Shannon resides in Argyle, Texas with his wife and two children.
