Shelby Kihara, serving as Vice President at Standard Commercial, embodies a strategic approach to the complex world of commercial and industrial real estate. Her impressive career spans over seven years, marked by a depth of knowledge in sales, management, and leasing. Renowned for her ability to cultivate robust relationships with both landlords and tenants, Shelby excels in orchestrating transactions that are not only successful but also forge enduring partnerships. Her track record is distinguished by her negotiation of around 600,000 square feet in leasing deals and the facilitation of sales transactions amounting to an impressive $12 million in recent years. Prior to joining Standard Commercial, Shelby was a commercial real estate agent at SN Realty where she gained invaluable knowledge and experience. Shelby was a member of the landlord representation team for The Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Foundation for the islands of O’ahu, Maui, Kaua’i, and Hawai’i island. Most recently, Shelby was a lead leasing agent for Harbor Center, a 232,337 SF property in Aiea with approximately 250 industrial, retail, and office tenants, which included Napa Auto Parts, Goodwill Industries, Ace Auto Glass, Fabric Mart, and Ige’s Lunchwagon & Catering to name a few. Shelby’s tenant representation services extends to a diverse portfolio of national companies and established local businesses. Current and former clients include Electrical Consultants Inc., The Hawaii Pacific Foundation, ProPark, Inc., Women In Need Hawaii, Maui Jim, Mahina Made, and The Keiki Dept. Her dedication, expertise, and relationships facilitate seamless matches between landlords and tenants, ensuring optimal outcomes for her clients. Originally from Ha’iku, Maui, Shelby is a proud alumna of Kamehameha Schools Maui Campus. She furthered her education at The University of Hawaii Maui, earning a degree in Hospitality and Tourism. Her academic journey included a transformative study abroad experience at Shanghai Normal university in China, complemented by a successful internship at The Double Tree by Hilton in Shanghai. Shelby holds a real estate broker’s license in the State of Hawaii.
