Shannon McNichol

Shannon McNichol, founder and president of Nichol City Realty, is a Licensed Real Estate Broker, active in the real estate industry and WNY community for over 15 years. Purchasing her first home at the young age of 22, Shannon served as general contractor for the home’s rehab, leading to a lifelong passion for real estate development and her entrepreneurial spirit. Obtaining her real estate license in 2005, Shannon practiced as a Licensed Real Estate Salesperson for 5 years, founding Nichol City Realty in 2010. Recognizing a niche in the local market for value brokerage services, Nichol City began offering full-service listings with a reduced commission percentage, affording many families more accessible home ownership. An unwavering work ethic quickly grew the business’ referral base – not only with clients but with experienced agents as well. For those sharing her vision and solid business ethics, Shannon was fortunate to be able to begin sponsoring salespeople’s licenses and taking on new agents under her personal mentorship. Fifteen years in the making, Nichol City has continued to grow into one of Buffalo’s best boutique real estate agencies – and a culture unto itself. 2013 marked a banner year for Nichol City Realty with the purchase of 42 Aurora Street, Lancaster, New York. The prior home of The Historic Mook Mill & Dam site, and more recently the 7 Owl Tea Room. The building itself, with a long history of women's ownership, stands as a symbol of strength and feminine pride. As Nichol City Realty continues to grow & evolve, so too does its Founder. Acknowledging a desire for professional growth and entrepreneurship, Shannon’s career arch has shifted from not only Realtor and Owner, but more recently to coach, mentor, investor, presenter, and community leader.
