Scott Burns

Scott Burns is Executive Vice President and the Retail Brokerage Lead for JLL in Los Angeles. With over 17 years of retail real estate experience, his focus is leading and participating on a team that specializes in new and infill development, leasing, and tenant representation for retail real estate across Southern California. Prior to joining JLL, Scott was President and Partner of Wilson Retail Group (WRG). He was with WRG for 17 years. His professional career has focused on infill leasing and development of retail real estate in Southern California. Scott has represented major institutional property owners such as General Growth Properties, Rothbart Development Group, Regency Centers, RPAI, Weingarten Realty Investors, Wal-Mart Realty and ICI Development. In 2009 Scott championed the launch of WRG’s tenant representation division. His clients included Dollar Tree Stores, Rite Aid and Wells Fargo Bank. Scott graduated from California State University at Northridge with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Law. He remains an active member of his university as a guest lecturer. Scott is an active member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC). He is currently the chair of the Southern California Program Committee, a member of ICSC’s Foundation Board of Directors and a judge on the ICSC Leadership Nominating Committee. He was a founding member and former chair of ICSC’s National Next Generation Committee.
