Scott Bumpas

Scott Bumpas is the Director of the Commercial Division of Briggs Freeman Sotheby’s International Realty. This award-winning industry leader packs more than 35 years of commercial real estate experience and instinct — and a reputation as a skilled negotiator, respected manager, and recruiter of top talent. He has been named to D CEO magazine’s Power Brokers List and to its Dallas 500, the magazine’s prestigious annual roster of the most powerful business leaders in Dallas-Fort Worth. Representing the interests of corporate-space users has been the focus of Scott’s career. He has worked with some of the largest and most well-known companies in the world, negotiating hundreds of complex transactions — valued at more than $1 billion and counting — for clients across North Texas, the United States, and the world. Scott’s unique skills and honed intuition have saved his clients tens of millions of dollars. His many roles have included being the North Texas market leader at Cresa, the global commercial real estate company with more than 80 offices, and the global lead for Cresa’s Corporate Solutions group, which pursued and won large portfolio accounts that include 3M, Smithfield Foods, Boston Scientific and more. Scott has also developed and repurposed luxury resort properties in Texas, Florida, and the Bahamas, including The Cove in Eleuthera, the largest out-island Bahamian resort at its opening. At Briggs Freeman Sotheby’s International Realty, Scott leads a specialized team of commercial-property agents covering Dallas, Fort Worth, North Texas, and beyond. Scott has lived in North Texas for more than 60 years. He has a degree in business administration and management from Texas Tech University and has been on the boards of the Global Effect ministry and The Cambridge School of Dallas. In his rare off time, he enjoys volunteering, golfing and, in his words, “being a beach bum.”
