Growing up in Pemberville, Ohio, Rod discovered a passion for real estate at a young age. He graduated from Tiffin University in 1992 with a B.B.A. degree. After school, Rod worked as a business manager in the automotive industry until he moved to Cleveland in 1996 to pursue his true calling: real estate. Rod began in residential sales at Sweda-Sweda and Associates where he managed the northeast Ohio regional office. Over time, Rod’s commitment and work ethic earned him a position in the top five percent of brokers in the state and the fifth highest sales in Cleveland. By 2007, Rod relocated to Toledo with his family. After a chance meeting with Larry Dillin, the founder of Dillin Corporation, Rod was brought on to work at the commercial development company in a variety of roles - from sales and leasing to the director of asset management. While his primary function was property management and maintenance, he also developed strong relationships with local partners, including Rudolph Libbe Inc., who handled construction on most of his projects including The Town Center at Levis Commons. Rod was already familiar with Rudolph Libbe Properties’ professional reputation and in 2011, he was recruited as Director of Real Estate to control, manage and revitalize their real estate portfolio. Over the past 5 years, his team has successfully found a niche market helping corporations across the United States expand or relocate. Rod found that merging a construction and real estate background was a winning combination for customers. Now, as Vice President, he oversees property sales and provides support to Rudolph Libbe Group customers across all companies. Recognized for leadership, integrity and in-depth market expertise, Rod works to match customers with the ideal property suited for each project while maximizing profits for all investors
