Rick Lahkar

Prior to getting involved in the business of Commercial Real Estate, Rick Lahkar was a top performer in the hospitality business, providing exceptional management and customer service, along with delighting guests. He knew early on that entrepreneurship was the right direction for him. After earning his Bachelor of Commerce degree, he went on to complete his postgraduate studies in Advertising and Public Relations. Reflecting on his passion and penchant for good customer service, which he carries on in his CRE business today, Rick mentioned that "The hospitality business was an exciting career experience where I realized that you're not selling a room – you're making a guest feel at home. As a CRE professional, providing excellent customer service is inherent in everything that I do." Rick engaged with Century 21 Commercial as a business broker in 2005, earning his real estate salesperson license that same year and his broker's license in 2010. With Century 21, he brokered the sale of small and medium-sized businesses, including convenience stores, restaurants, and more in the greater Sacramento area. Following Rick's relocation to the San Francisco Bay Area in 2013, he joined Marcus & Millichap as a specialist in their hospitality brokerage division. He achieved immense success selling independent boutique hotels all over Northern California, from the Central Coast to the Monterey Bay. He was also very active in the Sierra Foothills and the Sacramento area. The entrepreneurial bug in Rick prompted him to establish and run his own Commercial Real Estate brokerage business for 6 years in affiliation with Sperry Commercial Global Affiliates. Realizing that to serve his clients better, it would be helpful to align with a firm that has a team of active and successful brokers and back-end staff. Rick has now joined forces with Intero Commercial, a boutique full service Commercial Real Estate company based in the San Francisco Bay area. Rick is now focused on helping family-owned Commercial Real Estate property and business owners primarily in the East Bay Area cities of Pleasanton, Livermore and Dublin. He will also continue to serve hospitality property owners spread over Northern California.
