Experienced with all facets of commercial real estate, Rick has transactional leasing and sale experience exceeding 20 million square feet, with an aggregate value exceeding $3.5 billion. He is known for developing and executing large, complex assignments on behalf of the clients he represents. Throughout his career, he has represented the ownerships of more than 50 institutional quality office buildings in Los Angeles, with an aggregate footage exceeding 13 million square feet. His ownership clients are among the Nation’s most notable and include Blackstone Group, Brookfield Office Properties, Equity Office Properties, TIAA-CREF, The LeFrak Organization, Morgan Stanley, Clarion Partners and Lincoln Property Company. His specific major project experience includes Blackstone/EOP in their Westwood, CA portfolio (1.7 million square feet), Howard Hughes Center in Los Angeles (1.3 million square feet), Wilshire Courtyard in Miracle Mile (1.2 million square feet), Yahoo! Center in Santa Monica (1.1 million square feet), 6500 Wilshire Boulevard in Los Angeles (460,000 square feet), Wilshire Rodeo Plaza in Beverly Hills (300,000 square feet), i/o Playa Vista (300,000 square feet), Pen Factory in Santa Monica (222,000 Square feet), 7060 Hollywood Boulevard in Hollywood, (176,000 square feet) and 9701 Wilshire Boulevard in Beverly Hills (80,000 square feet). His major tenant experience includes advising corporations, large and small, on their lease and sale negotiations, expansions, renewals, consolidations, sublease/dispositions, expense audits and all occupancy related issues. Having been involved in well over 2,000 lease transactions, several of his accomplishments include Deluxe Media in their 5-location, Southern California consolidation (175,000 square feet), New York Life Insurance in the disposition of a 12-story, 175,000 square foot office building located at 3303 Wilshire Boulevard, Comcast Corporation in their Los Angeles area consolidation which included G4 Media (120,000 square feet), Premiere Radio Networks in their early lease renewal in Sherman Oaks, CA (90,000 square feet), the Carpenters Pension Trust in their purchase of CB Richard Ellis’ former headquarters in Downtown Los Angeles (80,000 square feet), Bear Stearns & Co. in their headquarters lease renewal in Century City (80,000 square feet), Clear Channel in multiple transactions nationally over numerous years (500,000 square feet). He has transaction experience in most major markets across the United States. Rick has been quoted and/or recognized as a leader in commercial real estate industry by such publications as the Los Angeles Times, New York Times, Los Angeles Business Journal, Commercial Property News, Real Estate Southern California and Costar. Prior to founding L.A. Realty Partners with his partners, Rick was a Principal with Madison Partners. Before this, Rick was part of a team recruited from CB Richard Ellis to open Insignia/ESG’s West Los Angeles office where he spent 5 years. Prior to that, Rick spent 11 years with CBRE in West Los Angeles. While at these firms he was consistently recognized as a top performer both locally and nationally.
