Richard E. (Rick) Barnes began his real estate career by building and selling his first neighborhood convenience shopping center in the Dallas-Fort Worth area in 1979. Since that time, Rick has been successful in the development, leasing and sales of income producing real estate assets in major markets across the country. Today, as a specialist in commercial investment properties, Rick utilizes his personal ownership perspective to proactively identify and match the needs of investment property buyers and sellers, and engineers solutions that insure smooth transactions. In his 45+ year career, Mr. Barnes has been a managing partner for the development of a 1.4 million square foot - $300 million office and retail portfolio of properties and has managed the development of a five-property - $120 million retail portfolio in New England for an institutional investor. He has developed projects for such national retailers as Target, Home Depot, Lowe's, Kohl's, Toys "R" Us, Best Buy, Staples, Marshall's, T.J. Maxx, Petco, Pier 1 Imports, Super Stop & Shop, CVS and Walgreen's. Rick has an undergraduate degree in Architecture from The University of Texas and has completed graduate studies in Urban Planning. He has been a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) since 1982.
