ABOUT

Richie Hurd has been instrumental in all aspects of Hurd Real Estate's operations since joining in 2008. His responsibilities include marketing the company's real estate portfolio, acquisitions and dispositions, development, financial analysis, and banking relations. He has been involved in a number of significant real estate transactions over the last ten years. From this work he has been awarded "Deal of the Year" twice by the Iowa Commercial Real Estate Association. Prior to his partnership with his Father, Richard Hurd, Richie worked at a national real estate firm in Phoenix, Arizona selling retail investment properties. In addition to investment sales, Richie also helped lease and manage the Hurd Real Estate owned properties located in the Phoenix metropolitan area. Richie is a member of the Forbes Real Estate Council, the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), and program chair for the Iowa ICSC Next Generation program. Richie was the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's "Man of the Year" in 2018 after raising a record breaking $331,000. He also serves on the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Iowa Board where he was a "Big" for five years prior to joining the board. A 2006 graduate of Creighton University, Richie earned a BSBA in Entrepreneurial Management and was a member of the Creighton University men's soccer team.
