Richard Herman

CAPITOL REAL ESTATE ADVISORS, INC. was founded by Richard A. Herman. A graduate from Ohio State and Capital University Law School, he has been an attorney and a licensed real estate broker for over 25 years in the state of Ohio. Mr. Herman's family has been in the real estate business in Ohio for over 50 years. After law school, Mr. Herman began his real estate career working for RJ Solove and Associates, the then central Ohio's leading grocery/drug store anchored shopping center developer, where he helped grow the portfolio from 1.2 million square feet to 5.5 million square feet. As Vice President of Development he was instrumental in introducing the portfolio to and completing deals with Wal-Mart, Home Depot, Kohl's, PetSmart, and Sam's Club, just to name a few. It is during this tenure that Mr. Herman started what is now CAPITOL REAL ESTATE ADVISORS, INC. (CREA), by leveraging his significant experience and expertise into creating successful partnerships between Retailers and Landlords. This is also when he began providing property disposition services. Mr. Herman later was Senior Vice President and a partner of a major midwestern developer in charge of leasing and development of over 16 million square feet of shopping centers, while continuing to grow CREA into the leader in Tenant and Landlord Representation in Central Ohio.
