Reed Vestal is the co-founder and managing partner of Junction, and specializes in land and industrial brokerage, development and investments in the Greater Houston area. After receiving his master’s degree in real estate finance from Mays Business School at Texas A&M University, one of the top real estate finance schools in the country, Reed began his commercial real estate career as an associate at a start-up boutique brokerage firm in Houston. Since the brokerage firm was new to the market and small in size, Reed and his partner handled a lot of the day-to-day tasks, including the production of marketing avenues, business procurement, the creation of a fully integrated real estate platform, and much more. Additionally, not being native to Houston pushed Vestal to continue to be a self-starter in order to create a large contact rolodex built from the ground up through hard work and relentless persistence. This unique experience has catapulted him into becoming a market leader very early on in his career. In January 2014, Reed transition to The National Realty Group (TNRG), a brokerage and development company in Houston, Texas. Within 2 years of joining the new firm, TNRG was acquired by one of the largest brokerage firms in the country, Lee & Associates. At Lee & Associates – Houston, Reed was quickly recognized as tenacious, highly driven, and a natural leader. In just a short amount of time, his hard work and dedication to his clients and career garnered a large amount of recognition within the company nation-wide, annually ranking among the firm’s top producers’ year in and year out. At the age of 29, Reed earned the title of Principal and Partner, and to date is one of the youngest brokers to earn this title throughout the entire national network with over 70 major locations in cities across the U.S. and Canada. Throughout his career, he has secured over $850 million in sale, lease, build-to-suit, design-build, investment and development transactions with notable companies such as Johnson Controls, Trammell Crow Company, Hines, Molto Properties, United Rentals, Transwestern, Caterpillar and more. During his tenure at Lee & Associates, Reed was the leader of a top producing industrial and land team, and played a large role in managing the office as well as devising business strategy plans and executions. Additionally, Reed was responsible for reviewing associates’ training needs and implementing strategies in order to obtain growth in their futures. Some of Reed’s notable career achievements to date include earning a spot on the Houston Business Journal’s (HBJ) Heavy Hitters list in 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022 as a top Land and Industrial Broker in the greater Houston area. HBJ has also recognized Vestal, in partnership with Taylor Schmidt and John Erck, as a 2020 Landmark Award finalist for their work on the 132-acre Weiser Airpark transaction, now better known as Weiser Business Park. The deal was also awarded the prestigious NAIOP “Industrial Deal of the Year” and REDNews’ “Most Significant Sale Transaction” finalist honors the same year. At Lee & Associates’ annual National Summit in back-to-back years, 2019 & 2020, Reed earned the Circle of Excellence Award in recognition of being the top land broker across the entire national network. In 2019, Reed received Connect Media’s “Next Generation” award, one which is given to a young leader in the commercial real estate space projected to be an industry influencer throughout their career. Other notable awards include being honored as a 2020, 2021 and 2022 REDNews “Broker of the Year” finalist and NAIOP’s 2015 “Industrial Rising Star” recipient. In addition to these awards, Reed is also a proud Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) and Society of Industrial and Office Realtor (SIOR) designation holder. At the time of his reception of these designations, he was one of the youngest to ever obtain either in those respective organizations history. Reed, his wife Christen, son Baron and daughter Clancy are residents of the Tanglewood community. They are active in many community organizations and seek out opportunities where they can help build an even greater surrounding atmosphere.
