A Rankin County native, Dr. Dotherow graduated with honors from Brandon High School in 1976 and received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Southern Mississippi in 1980. He attended medical school at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. After an internship and residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in 1987, he completed his Gastroenterology fellowship there in 1989. He is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology and is affiliated with most of the major hospitals in the Jackson Metro area. He has an extensive list of professional appointments and affiliations including the American Gastroenterological Association, American College of Gastroenterology, American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopists and the American College of Physicians. He has lectured in multiple post-graduate courses, provided continuing education activities for primary care physicians and lectured at multiple community health fairs. He has also directed and participated in multiple research projects during his career. Dr. Dotherow is affiliated with most major hospitals in the area and is accepting new patients.
