Nancy McGuire has over 25 years of experience in real estate in both the United States and England. Ms. McGuire is a Member of the Appraisal Institute (MAI) and has served on the New York Chapter Admissions Committee and on the Appraisal Institute Young Advisory Committee in Washington D.C. She has also contributed to the industry as a lecturer at New York University’s Real Estate Institute and as a lecturer in the J.P. Morgan Investment Management, Inc. Training Seminar. As president of The Austin McGuire Company, Ms. McGuire provides quality real estate problem solving to individuals, businesses, and municipalities in the New York and Connecticut Region. Ms. McGuire is responsible for the valuation of over $1 billion in major office, retail, industrial, healthcare, petroleum, and multifamily properties nationwide for corporate and institutional investors. These include several large shopping center, office, and manufacturing portfolios nationwide. She has also valued private inns, estates, single and multifamily developments in the tri-state area. In addition, she has participated in the valuation of limited partnerships and minority interests for transfer tax, litigation, and gift tax purposes. Ms. McGuire is also a commercial real estate broker with Austin McGuire Real Estate Advisors and has assisted several companies with site selection and lease negotiation. Prior to forming these companies, Ms. McGuire was a Senior Manager in charge of KPMG’s New York Real Estate Valuation practice. In addition, she has worked with Jones Lang Wootton (LaSalle) in London and in Chemical Bank’s (Chase) Real Estate Group in New York.
