Mike Chatham

Mike brings over 25 years of real estate experience in hotel and student housing community development to MPV. In his career he has overseen projects of these specialties from site acquisition through entitlements, including market analysis, site selection, land assemblages and contract negotiations. Upon joining MPV Properties in 2015, Mike leads activity in the hospitality sector of real estate sales and acquisitions, and identifies opportunities in the senior housing market with his multi-family background. Mike’s experience in hospitality includes the development of Choice Hotels, Hilton, and Marriott hotels. He was formerly Vice-Chair of the Executive Board on Choice Hotels Owners Council, which represented over 4,000 franchisees. Today Mike is a licensed real estate broker in both North and South Carolina, and also a member of Charlotte Regional Commercial Board of Realtors (CRCBR). Mike attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. There he was a member of the football team and was selected as the All-Conference Tight End in 1979 as a walk-on. Mike led the team in receptions in 1979 and 1980, and signed as a free agent with the Cleveland Browns upon his graduation in 1981.
