Michael works in a team-oriented group with Phillip Sample and Chris Caras as the Urban Group, specializing in the sale of complex investment and adaptive reuse product, including market-rate and LIHTC apartments, loft conversions of all types and new developments. Michael’s team has been the number one investment team in the Downtown Los Angeles office several times over the last decade, and he has negotiated more than $4.7 billion in sales transactions. His expertise and efforts have contributed significantly to the urban renaissance in Downtown Los Angeles. Michael’s brokerage clients include Farmers Insurance Group, GE Capital, the YWCA of Greater Los Angeles, the Hearst Corporation, and Johnston Capital Funding. Michael also provides transaction and consulting services to corporations, financial institutions and private investors. These services include acquisition, market positioning for disposition, joint ventures, financing, financing and asset management. His consulting clients include Bank of America, IXIS Capital, EastWest Bank, Wachovia Corporation, Prudential Mortgage Capital and Hanmi Bank.
