Michael has over 20 years of experience in the Canadian Shopping Centre Industry specializing in commercial leasing. Michael has worked as Vice President of Leasing for Juno Developments & Counsel Corp. and successfully leased portfolio’s which included up to 15 properties, in A, B & C class centres with over 1.6 million square feet. Michael has consistently exceeded industry standards in maintaining high occupancy levels throughout his career and retains an extensive network of contacts with national retailers as well as numerous ties to independent operators throughout Canada. Michael has a history of closing on leasing opportunities that address the needs of the specific property with reference to tenant mix, merchandising plans, attraction of quality new tenants and with an emphasis on increasing centre traffic. Michael specializes in the following product; Enclosed Malls, Power Centres, Grocery Anchored Strip Plazas, Life Style Centres, remerchandising existing anchor space and has excelled in Greenfield new build development sites. Michael also provides expertise on retail site selection. He received a Bachelor of Arts Degree with a major in Geography from the University of Regina and later completed a Post-Graduate Diploma with Honours in Human Resource Management from Seneca College.
