Michael Berkowitz

Michael Berkowitz has been President and CEO of his commercial real estate brokerage since their formation in 1989, which he owns 100% of the company. Additionally, Michael serves as President of Property Managers LLC, which he formed as a separate entity to do third-party management of commercial real estate. Michael owns 100% of Property Managers LLC. Michael is a graduate of Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana with a Bachelor of Science in Management and Accounting. His expertise lies in the area of investment analysis, development, construction, leasing, and management of commercial property. He has owned and operated his own commercial real estate company which is now Colonial Commercial Real Estate LLC, for the past 25 years. In 1999, he formed Property Managers LLC, which manages 2,000,000 square feet of shopping centers and office buildings in the DFW area as well as throughout Texas. He has continuously been a top producer at the company and in the local real estate market. He has sold many major notable Fort Worth buildings in downtown as well as many major shopping centers. Michael has also done consulting in the management of enclosed malls for national mall owners and enhanced their value by decreasing their expenses. He was responsible for securing the major tract of property located in the historic Fort Worth Stock Yards was an owner and operated the stockyards for four years. Michael was named in the second year as one of the “Top 40 under 40” and Real Estate Dealmakers by the Business Press. He has been recognized as a power broker by CoStar many times and was named to a list of “Who’s Who in Commercial Real Estate.” Through his thirty years of experience in commercial real estate, he has been able to identify and analyze investment opportunities for his clients and in the past three years has sold over 4,000,000 square feet of commercial property. Michael is a member of the North Texas Commercial Association of Realtors and the International Council of Shopping Centers. He served on the Board of Directors of Congregation Ahavath Shalom, Committee of Colonial Country Club, Board Chairman of SW Ft. Worth YMCA, president of Colonial Hills neighborhood association and on the Tulane University Alumni Admissions Committee. He is also a member of Colonial Country Club.
