Michael Backer

Michael Backer joined Intelica CRETM in the fall of 2018 as an associate broker. Michael is a graduate of Saint Louis University, where he majored in criminal justice. Before joining Intelica, Michael worked for Cushman & Wakefield as a Senior Transactions Manager, where he was responsible for the overall project management of both relocation and opening of new offices for one of the firm's largest clients, Edward Jones. Michael was responsible for market research, lease negotiations, coordinating site surveys and inspections of prospective sites, collaborating with designers and managing floor plan design and construction bidding, as well as managing the construction phase with general contractors in order to ensure a smooth installation for his clients. Additionally, prior to working at Cushman & Wakefield, Michael proudly served in the United States Marine Corps as a Combat Engineer Officer and Company Commander. Michael handles tenant representation, landlord representation, contract negotiation, and site selection. His focus is on office, industrial, retail and investment transactions.
