Matthew Gehrke directly oversees the management of more than one million square feet of commercial real estate assets and provides real estate management and development consulting services to a variety of businesses and family groups. He successfully secured and maintained various forms of financing for all managed properties and originated and negotiated hundreds of retail leases with national, regional, and local tenants. Matthew recently developed and introduced The Retreat, a 650-bed university student housing community located in Newark, Delaware, including deal origination, land planning, construction, and asset management, transforming the Suburban Plaza shopping center into a ground breaking mixed-use community. Matthew is a licensed Real Estate Broker in the State of Delaware and holds an MBA from the UCLA Anderson School of Management. Fluent in Spanish and Portuguese, he enjoys world travel, ocean sports, and fitness / nutrition.
