Matthew Cortez joined Savills in 2022, where he currently works for the Global Occupier Services Group, managing transactions and portfolio strategy for two top 15 ranked ENR firms. He oversees and facilitates transactions that optimizes business processes and drive shareholder value to the client's bottom line. Matthew’s approach is to develop strategies that reduce and contain total occupancy costs while maximizing savings through benchmarking portfolios. These key performance indicators provide measurable bottom-line results for clients. Matthew also works alongside Charles Daggett and Dina Zavislak, who serve as Vice Chairman and co-lead of the Savills AEC practice group. In this capacity, he supports them in pursuing accounts nationwide and is actively involved in the AEC sector. Prior to joining Savills, Matthew was a Senior Advisor at Cresa, where he solely advised corporate occupiers of space across their portfolios locally, nationally, and globally. Overall, Matthew has over seven years of commercial real estate experience with exposure to all asset types and real estate transactions, including strategic portfolio planning, corporate headquarters transactions, strategic lease renegotiations, build-to-suits, sale-leasebacks, property dispositions, portfolio repositioning, and portfolio audits.
