Matthew Chmielecki

Matthew Chmielecki is a Senior Vice President with the New York Tri-State Region Retail Services Group, having joined the firm in early 2005. Mr. Chmielecki focuses his efforts on both Landlord and Tenant representation throughout the Tri-State Region. He has represented such notable landlords as Empire State Realty Trust, Blackstone, Tishman Speyer Properties, The Helmsley Organization, The Trump Organization, The Witkoff Group, Macklowe Properties, Maefield, Moinian and Marriott International. Most recently, he completed leases with both the NFL and Hershey at 20 Times Square on behalf of The Witkoff Group. Mr. Chmielecki is currently representing such high-profile buildings as 121 and 119 Spring Street, 605 West 42nd Street and 20 Times Square. On the Tenant side, Mr. Chmielecki is spearheading ongoing expansion for American Giant, Havaianas, U.S. Fitness, Union Square Hospitality Group and Shake Shack and has worked closely with Valentino, Asprey, Tourneau, Godiva, Sovereign Bank and Chase Bank among others. Past restaurant deals include: Milk Street at 40 Wall Street, Café Duke at 300 Park Avenue, Bice II at 1350 Avenue of the Americas, Ocean Prime at 1301 Avenue of the Americas, State Bar and Grill at the Empire State Building, Sakae Sushi at the Chrysler Building and multiple Tender Greens and Shake Shack locations. Mr. Chmielecki received CBRE’s top associate honor as the 2005 Tri-State Region Rookie of the Year. In addition, he received the 2006 Real Estate Board of New York's Retail Deal of the Year Award for his work in the Lease to Gucci at 725 Fifth Avenue, as agent for Donald Trump. In 2007, he was voted as one of the “30 under 30” rising stars in New York Commercial Real Estate. He was recently chosen as a leader of the CBRE National Retail Advisory Council and the CBRE Americas Producer Advisory Board. Mr. Chmielecki was recently selected as a Top 25 Retail Leasing Professional in the U.S. by Real Estate Forum.
