Matthew Carlson

Matt Carlson is an investment sales professional who takes pride in creating disproportionate value to institutional real estate investors in the region. After nearly two decades as a top leasing professional in San Diego, having transacted over 11 million square feet and a consideration of over $3 billion, Matt joined CBRE’s Southern California Capital Markets team in 2021. Over his career, Matt has sold, or provided strategic underwriting, over 11 million square feet for a consideration of over $3.6 billion for top institutional investors. His focus is on institutional office and industrial product in San Diego and life sciences facilities, conversions, and development throughout Southern California. Prior to joining CBRE in 2015, Matt led the Cushman & Wakefield San Diego Agency Leasing team for over a decade. Before starting his career in real estate, Matt coached collegiate rowing at Brown University and Rutgers University while vying for a seat on the 2000 US Olympic Rowing Team.
