Prior to co-founding Crosstown Real Estate Advisors, LLC, Mr. Baumann spent 10+ years at Special Assets Acquisitions, where he began his time as the President of Oddjobs, a professional handyman service in Glenview, IL purchased by Special Assets. He was responsible for the daily operation and redevelopment of this distressed business. His efforts included creating a new business plan, securing proper funding from ownership, hiring and training a leadership team and staff of field technicians, and development of all sales, marketing, operations, IT and human resources business processes. After only 8 months of operation, the company was successfully repositioned for sale to Owens Corning. After transitioning back to Special Assets Acquisitions, Mr. Baumann successfully negotiated over 1,500,000 square feet of office, industrial and retail leases and sales for his client base. After his promotion to Partner, he was primarily responsible for uncovering acquisition opportunities and performing market and financial analysis and coordinating due diligence efforts, including physical property inspections. At Crosstown Capital Partners, Mr. Baumann is responsible for sourcing acquisition opportunities and sponsoring deals, providing the necessary debt and equity to the assets the company acquires. He also works exclusively with a client base of third-party Tenants and Buyers of real estate. Mr. Baumann is currently a board member for CASCO, the Chicagoland Association of Shopping Center Owners. He has earned his designation as a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM). He is involved in many charities, and is especially active as a Board Member of 100+ Who Care Chicago and as President of the Board of Directors for WINGS Program, Inc., an organization that provides a full continuum of support services to women and children that are the victims of domestic abuse.
