ABOUT

Matt Sweeney joined the firm's Retail Services Group in 2006 and currently serves as a managing director in the San Jose office, where he specializes in the leasing and sale of retail real estate throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. Mr. Sweeney is consistently one of the retail team's Top Producers, with more than $166.0 million in total consideration. He has also received the CoStar Group’s Power Broker award for his high career and annual transaction volume. Mr. Sweeney’s extensive knowledge of the San Francisco Bay Area market and experience working in the retail development industry has allowed him to address the needs of both tenants and landlords alike. He has successfully negotiated numerous lease transactions with national tenants, regional and local retailers, property owners and investors, developers and institutional REITs and multifamily owners with retail portfolios throughout the greater Bay Area. Prior to joining the firm, he worked with CenterPoint Properties, a developer in Pleasanton, where he focused on the assemblage, entitlement and acquisition of land for new shopping center development.
