Matt’s focus is on office and industrial properties throughout Temecula Valley, San Diego and Inland Empire, working with clients ranging in size from leading local businesses to Fortune 500 companies. By designing and implementing innovative and creative strategies, from inception to implementation, of clients’ projects, he has a strong track record of performing various complex assignments in both agency leasing and tenant representation. Having lived in both Murrieta and North County San Diego, Matt also enjoys working with Landlords and tenants who are shaping those markets by creating value and transforming industries. As a Landlord representative, Matt is responsible for marketing strategies, negotiation of new leases and renewal contracts on approximately a half million square feet of office and industrial properties in the Temecula Valley alone and is responsible for increasing asset values by substantially reducing the vacancy rate at these projects, while also increasing for lease strike rates. In 2015 alone, he closed over 82 transactions. Represented Charter School Management Company in its 2016 acquisition of 11,075 square feet of office space in 1st quarter 2016, a transaction valued at $2.3 million. Represented both buyer and seller in the acquisition/disposition of Temecula Corporate Center, a nine-building, Class A office and flex industrial portfolio totaling 82,137 square feet, which sold fourth quarter 2015 for over $12.3 million. Represented KPN Industrial, LLC in the acquisition of a 33,306 square foot Class B multi-tenant office building in 2014 with a total consideration of over $4.0 million. Represented both buyer and seller in the acquisition/disposition of a 38,149 square foot Class B multi-tenant office building in shell condition. The property sold in 2014 for over $2.9 million. While in escrow represented landlord in a 19,570 square foot full floor build-to suit for Torres Martinez Cahuilla Indian Tribe for a total consideration of over $4.6 million. Represented landlord KPN Industrial, LLC in leasing 12,670 square feet of a 29,246 square foot class B multi-tenant office building. The transaction was a build-to suit for Michael Baker International with a total consideration of over $2.0 million. Before transitioning into commercial real estate, Matt worked as a youth pastor for five years, counseling, mentoring and teaching junior high school-aged students. He has parlayed those communication and relationship skills into the real estate advisory services he provides for his clients. Growing up in Murrieta and later moving to North County San Diego, Matt especially enjoys working on deals that benefit the communities that shaped him. Matt resides in Vista, CA with his wife and young son. He enjoys surfing, reading, traveling and learning languages.
