Martin hails originally from Staten Island but spent most of his adult life in Manhattan. He spent many years in the fashion industry which allowed him to travel extensively throughout the U.S., Canada, Europe and Asia. But when looking for a weekend home, no place spoke to him like the Hudson Valley. He decided to buy a “fixer upper” on Mt. Merino near Hudson NY, and over 10 years he turned a modest prefab house into a stylish midcentury modern home. When the economic downturn hit the NYC garment industry, he decided it was time to pursue his real passion: Real Estate. He spent 3 years in NYC for Citi-Habitats & Douglas Elliman, but on Sunday evenings he dreaded leaving his peaceful upstate home for the crowded city. In search of a better quality of life he decided it was finally time to go from a weekender to a full-timer. Martin really understands the exciting, and sometimes stressful, transition from city life to country life, and guides his clients to the perfect house to fit their needs and budget. Through his own renovation experiences, he has a very practical view of homeownership and can be a great resource on many levels. Need a good plumber? Thinking of installing a woodstove? Ask Martin…his advice may save you time and money. Martin has been selling ‘things’ most of his life, but now he loves showing homes in our beautiful valley and getting to know his clients. He also enjoys traveling, projects around his home, and cooking for friends.
