Mark leads The DESCO Group’s leasing department. Mark joined DESCO in 2016, bringing more than 30 years of expertise in commercial real estate brokerage in both the Kansas City and St. Louis markets. His responsibilities include overseeing the leasing of over 4.5 million square feet of new and existing retail space, as well as the disposition of related outlots and excess land and properties. He offers a wealth of experience in both tenant and landlord representation, and proven success in completions of lease and sale transactions involving office, retail, land, and investment properties. Prior to joining DESCO, Mark served as Director of Development at Walpert Properties, Inc. for 19 years, where he primarily focused on development of grocery-anchored shopping centers, site location and acquisitions, lease negotiations, construction and design, and public financing initiatives. A graduate of the University of Missouri – Kansas City, Mark is an active member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC).
