ABOUT

Mark Illsley is a First Vice President with CBRE focusing on commercial investment and community properties in Oregon and Pacific Northwest commercial real estate markets. Mark grew up involved in his family business in southern California, where his father invested in multifamily, manufactured home communities and self-storage properties. In 1977, Mark began his commercial real estate career as a project manager for a residential development company, where much of his time was spent entitling land and building single-family and multi-family communities. After witnessing the negative impact of the early 1980’s hyper-inflation and recession, Mark transitioned to brokerage and consulting, working with Grubb & Ellis before making the move to CBRE in 1998. Since his career began, Mark has assisted private investors and entities in transacting more than $1.75-billion in commercial real estate sales volume. The majority of this career has been focused on multifamily, self-storage, manufactured housing & RV resorts (MHRV), student housing and retail strip properties. In 1998, Mark was a founding member of CBRE’s Private Client Group, which assisted clients that possessed real estate properties valued at $20-million or below with their distinctive investment opportunities including estate planning, succession planning, and portfolio stratification, among others. Mark leads CBRE’s Pacific Northwest Manufactured Housing & RV Resorts team with Chris Craighead and Elanna Lisk. He has sold manufactured housing and RV communities in Oregon, California, Washington, and Montana working in conjunction with CBRE’s National Manufactured Housing Specialty Practice. Combining his 43 years of industry experience with CBRE’s unmatched services platform, Mark’s top priority is helping investors make the optimal investment decisions for their unique circumstances.
