Marc has been in the real estate business since 2004 both as an agent and as a brokerage owner. Before settling in State College, he grew up in Southern Pennsylvania in the small town of Hanover, PA. He went to Spring Grove High School and after high school he joined the Army as a Blackhawk Helicopter Crewchief to serve his country. He spent time at Fort Campbell, KY, South Korea, and Fort Drum, NY as well as some time in Central America for disaster relief after Hurricane Mitch in 1998. His time in the Army taught him the value of hard work and that if you do your best good things will happen. After the Army Marc moved to State College to attend Penn State University. One of his first classes was a real estate class and he fell in love. He originally started working part-time at RE/MAX doing desktop publishing for flyers, postcards, etc. with his office next to the copy machine. After a year of doing that, he decided to get his real estate license while he finished his degree. He had originally intended on going to law school to become a real estate attorney. When it came time to graduate, he decided that he didn’t want to leave Happy Valley. He thought this was a great place to live and has made a lot of great friends here, so he decided to jump into real estate full-time in 2005. In 2015 Marc had the opportunity to become one of the owners of RE/MAX Centre Realty with some other great colleagues. He is very proud of the company they’re building and the service they provide to agents and clients both. In 2021 the Marc McMaster team did over 75 transactions and $23 Million dollars in sales volume to rank in the top 15 of over 300 real estate agents in Centre County. Their team attained the Chairman's Club award from RE/MAX HQ in 2021 as well. Marc has previously served as the Pennsylvania Association of REALTORS District 8 Vice President. He has also served on the Legislative Committee and the Standard Forms Committee for Pennsylvania Association of REALTORS. In addition, he has served on the State College Area School District Citizens Advisory Committee for Facilities. He is currently the chair for the Centre County Association of REALTORS Government Affairs Committee and also serves on the Finance and Bylaws Committees. Giving back to the community is very important to him. He believes that Realtors should serve the community in every way possible. Marc lives just outside of State College in Bellefonte with his wife Stephanie and their two dogs, Hayden and Lola. They enjoy travelling, hiking, being with friends, and competitive shooting.
