Palmetto was established in 1989. Mr. Blumberg has been involved as a principal, advisor, broker or manager in over $3 billion of real estate assets and transactions since 1985. Mr. Blumberg has previously held executive and managerial positions with Kilburn-Young Asset Management Corp., Resolution Trust Corp./U.S. Treasury Department, Magnolia Capital Management and Allied Department Stores, Inc. Earlier, he served as an aide to the late Republican Party Chairman Lee Atwater and on the political and campaign staffs of President George H.W. Bush and the late Senator Strom Thurmond. He holds a BBA degree from the University of South Carolina and is a licensed Real Estate Broker in the State of Georgia. Mr. Blumberg is a native of South Carolina and resides in Atlanta.
