Mackinley Autrey

At the age of 15, Mac traveled as a missionary into the Amazon Jungle to live with the infamous Waodani tribe, who killed a group of missionaries in the '50s. During his time in the jungle, he learned the importance of teamwork from a tribal perspective. This experience provided a framework for developing his career in the modern world. After returning to the US, he was recruited by a securities trading firm on Wall Street as their youngest recruit. Working his way through business college at CUNY, Mac learned investment strategies from the sharpest minds in the financial industry. After graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Business, he joined a land acquisition company in Orlando, Florida, as a Purchasing Associate, later leading to his commercial real estate career. During the recession, he joined a boutique brokerage that taught him office & retail real estate. Mac began listing shopping centers all over Florida, quickly earning a reputation in both sales & leasing. After achieving success in the commercial markets, he began consulting for multiple real estate firms throughout Florida. Using his financial education, he designed investment strategies for private equity and brokerage firms throughout Florida. In addition, he provided commercial real estate training to national brokerage firms, such as Coldwell Banker, GMAC, and Keller Williams. One of Mac's clients (a global tech firm out of Canada) offered him a full-time position as Director. While in this role, he drafted US patents for Inventors and helped sell and lease their intellectual property on the company platform he helped design. His real property experience provided him an advantage when working in the intellectual property arena. His other responsibilities included overseeing the import/export division, where he increased efficiencies by coordinating with freight forwarders and ensuring the timely delivery of international cargo. After his career in intellectual property, Mac returned to real estate, obtaining a certification from MIT in Analysis & Investments, and launched his own boutique firm in Florida called The Outlier Group. Leading a nimble team of real estate advisors, Mac, and his team consult for investors and private corporations all over the Globe.
