Louie Tijerina

Louie Tijerina joined CBRE in 2016 as an Associate for Retail Services. His primary focus has been on landlord & tenant representation, specifically in Hispanic serving markets. Louie worked in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex up to 2020 while developing the areas along the borderlands of Texas among the US-Mexico border. In 2020, Louie moved down to his hometown of Brownville, TX to open up retail services for CBRE in the Rio Grande Valley while working alongside our retail team in the San Antonio office. Prior to joining CBRE, Louie worked with a retail developer named Hopkins Commercial Real Estate in Dallas, TX. He served as their leasing and marketing manager for both occupier and landlord representation. His experience on both sides of the business gives clients confidence in Louie’s ability to negotiate the best possible offer and build on advantage for their business. Now as a Senior Associate for the company, he has worked with a wide range of clients throughout the state of Texas such as RPAI, Elm Creek Real Estate, Transformco, Levcor, & ACF Properties to name a few. Most recently, Louie has worked on a number of big box redevelopments in these markets. He is currently working on the repurpose of Sears and KMART assets throughout the border including Brownsville, Harlingen, McAllen, Laredo, and El Paso. Before breaking into brokerage, Louie spent three years working with the National Hispanic Institute as a regional director for different programs within the organization. Working at the institute gave him the ability & knowledge to work within these communities to understand the culture & geography, while refining his relationship-building and management skills.
