Laurel Brightwell

Laurel Rice Brightwell, a native of Shreveport, Louisiana, graduated from Louisiana State University in Shreveport with a Bachelor’s degree and obtained a Master’s degree from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas. Prior to joining U.L. Coleman Company, Ltd. in commercial leasing and brokerage, Laurel worked for WPP Group's J. Walter Thompson Specialized Communications in Dallas, Simon Property Group in Shreveport, and Harrah’s New Orleans Casino. She also owned Gold Coast Skydivers Video Concession in Moss Point, Mississippi. She brings a myriad of experience in marketing, advertising, sales, and public relations to the team and is the 2013 President of Northwest Louisiana Association of REALTORS® Commercial Investment Division Board of Directors, 2013 Northwest Louisiana Association of REALTORS® Board of Directors, 2013 Chairman Board of Managers for Louisiana Commercial Database, 2012 Chairman of Professional Development Committee, 2009 Chairman of Trends Conference, and board director since 2008. She also served on the board of directors for Louisiana Commercial Database 2013 and 2014, is part of the CCIM candidacy program, International Council of Shopping Centers member since 2006, graduate and session planner for Greater Shreveport Chamber of Commerce Leadership Program, was voted one of the Chamber's Top 40 business professionals under 40 in Northwest Louisiana for 2008, and was an Athena Award finalist in 2011. She is an active participant in Junior League of Shreveport-Bossier serving as a ways and means chairman and community chairman, Alliance for Education Grant Committee since 2008, Downtown Shreveport Rotary Club, City of Shreveport Economic Development Stakeholder contributor, Community Renewal International chairman, Daughters of the American Revolution, and helped pen the City of Shreveport and Caddo Parish 2030 Master Plan.
