Laura’s passion is transitioning an owner’s goals for a property into reality. After creating a marketing strategy for each property, Laura infuses the brokerage community, and prospective tenants / purchasers with property information and makes successful transactions happen. For project leasing assignments, she negotiates solid lease deals on behalf of the owners, while maintaining an open dialog with property management, construction management and accounting to ensure maximum performance and control of the assets. Laura creates positive turn-key experience for tenants by being the primary contact throughout the negotiation process, and by instituting a seamless transition to property management upon finalizing the transaction. As tenant retention is critical, Laura continually communicates with the tenant base at each property, enhancing the relationships between Colliers and its clients. Laura’s knowledge of the Memphis office market, aggressive marketing techniques and talent to build long-term relationships is the foundation for her achieved success. Laura has over 20 years’ experience in commercial real estate, having completed lease and sale transactions of 2.1 million square feet and a value in excess of $267 million. Prior to Colliers, a substantial part of Laura’s career was with the Weston Companies, a privately-held developer that specialized in the development, leasing, management and disposition of its own and also third party-owned office, retail and industrial/warehouse product. It was with Weston that Laura developed her talent and drive to contribute value at every level of the business. She finalized approximately 612,000 square feet of lease transactions and asset sales with a value in excess of $60.2 million with both institutionally owned and Weston-owned properties. From 1996 – 2000, Laura lived in Charlotte, North Carolina where she began her office leasing career with Crescent Resources, a publicly-held commercial developer. During her 4-year tenure with Crescent, she completed approximately 891,000 square feet of office lease transactions with a lease value of $123.7 million.
