Living in Santa Barbara for over 50 years, Larry Martin is well versed in the ways and lifestyles of this beautiful California city. He studied at SBCC, Brooks Institute and UCSB, gaining valuable knowledge about what this town has to offer its residents. Before he turned to Real Estate, Larry was a well-known local restaurateur owning and operating 3 restaurants in Downtown Santa Barbara for over 18 years! He gained valuable business experience and developed a strong work ethic growing them from the ground up before selling his successful businesses and looking for the next challenge. During his years in the Santa Barbara restaurant scene, he dipped his toes into the local real estate scene. Becoming a realtor in 2002, he found huge value in being a strong negotiator for his clients. He believes that an agent can be cordial and a strong negotiator at the same time always working hard to get his clients the best results. Besides selling single-family Homes, Larry also owns and operates Martin Property Management overseeing over $32,000,000 in both residential and commercial properties in Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo and Paso Robles. His expertise also includes selling sale business opportunities. Larry was given the title of top commercial agent nationwide as well as a consistent top-producing residential agent. In 2017, Larry became Executive Manager of Sales for the Douglas Elliman Real Estate office in Montecito training and overseeing 20+ agents while continuing to operate his personal real estate career. In 2023, Larry started The Martin Group mentoring agents and selling Santa Barbara real estate. He truly enjoys the many different aspects of Real Estate and revels in mastering them all. Currently Larry owns a craftsman style Home with his wife, Liz, and his son in the unique and very popular Bungalow Haven of Santa Barbara. His older daughter graduated from UCSB and is the head of HR at an international clothing company. When Larry is not serving the Santa Barbara community, he spends his time taking advantage of the multiple activities around town such as tennis, hiking, and the many beach activities that mirror the Santa Barbara lifestyle!
