Ascendia Group is thrilled to introduce the newest member of their growing team: Kim Glogovsky as Commercial Property Manager. Kim is a native of Sarasota and has recently returned home from Chicago after 34 years living and building a career in the Midwest. She has been charged with further developing the Commercial Property Management division of Ascendia. Kim has an extensive background in all facets of Real Estate management. Kim started in the business in 1995, managing small, mix-use retail and single-family apartment buildings. Not satisfied with the small scale of her portfolio and eager to learn more about the business, she expanded her knowledge base to large scale commercial buildings in the Chicago O’Hare market where she managed a 2 million sq. ft office portfolio. In 2008, while managing a conventional apartment community for Madison Apartment Group out of Philadelphia, another opportunity presented itself. The company offered Kim the opportunity to manage a Chicago Student Housing project that was struggling as they lost a major master lease. Kim took it with zest and enthusiasm and worked diligently in getting the beds occupied while re-building strained relationships with the local Universities. Consistently reaching 100% occupancy with a wait list for three consecutive years before the asset was sold. During her six years managing this project, Kim developed strong relationships with the local University Administrators and occupancy reached 100% at the 880-bed facility with schools such as Columbia College, DePaul University, Roosevelt University, University of Illinois Chicago just to name a few. The building sold in 2013 and Kim ventured into another sector that entailed managing military housing. From 2014 to 2017 Kim managed a 3,500-unit Military portfolio as the Director of Operations for Hunt Companies. Her sites were located throughout three states consisting of 100 team members. Kim was directly responsible for the overall asset sustainment, occupancy, team building and most importantly, maintaining a strong, transparent relationship with her military partners as a representative of Hunt. Kim decided to exit the Corporate Real Estate world in 2017. While conducting local and state market research, she diligently explored opportunities for her next phase in the RE market while taking on short-term management contracts. Kim has now transitioned into the local RE market here in Sarasota with a focus on Commercial projects. Kim is married to her husband Mark who recently retired from the Pharma business after 37 years of employment. Kim is an avid animal lover who enjoys travel, education and most importantly, spending time with her family and close friends.
