Kim Shapiro

As a Principal of Office Leasing, Kim Shapiro is responsible for the leasing of a select commercial office portfolio in the Galleria, Greenway, Westchase, Katy Freeway West, and Sugar Land market areas. Kim brings more than 18 years of experience in the Houston commercial real estate market and is a licensed real estate salesperson in the state of Texas. She is actively involved as a landlord representative in all lease negotiations, increasing rental rates and building occupancy. She is consistently a top performer in both transaction volume and total commissions and has been recognized as one of Houston’s “Heavy Hitters” by the Houston Business Journal. Kim has successfully consummated over 1,200 lease transaction and has participated in over 285 leasing transactions, including 96 leases in three very challenging assets. Prior to joining Avison Young, Kim was a Leasing Manager for Kennedy-Wilson Properties, Ltd where she was responsible for a 1.5 million square foot portfolio, including First City Tower, a 1.3 million square foot Class A building located in downtown Houston.
