Kent Walker has been affiliated with Donnie Jarreau Real Estate, Inc. since 2005. Before joining DJRE, Kent graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance at LSU. He spent 15 years in the banking industry with Chase Bank and Amsouth Bank – 7 of those years specializing in commercial real estate lending to local and regional residential and commercial developers. In 2008, Kent became a licensed commercial real estate agent with DJRE. His focus with the brokerage division was on sales and leasing of retail, office and restaurant space, as well as sales of vacant land and multi-family properties. In 2010, Kent’s primary focus turned to the development of freestanding national retail tenants, under his development arm, KW Development, LLC. Included in Kent’s ongoing development portfolio of retail tenants are Dollar Tree, Family Dollar, O’Reilly Auto Parts, Sonic Drive In, Smoothie King, The Rum House and Petsense, amongst others, and the tenant list is ever evolving. For Kent’s development projects, he is proficient in land acquisition, site planning, budgeting, bidding, oversight of sales and marketing, closings, investor relations, locating private and public funding, and coordination with all vendors, general contractors, sub contractors, and City/Parish officials. In addition to brokerage and development, Kent has been performing third party construction inspections for local and regional lenders since 2006. Some of his bank clients include Whitney Bank, Hancock Bank, Business First Bank, Regions Bank, The First Bank, First Bank and Trust, Iberia Bank, State Bank and Trust, and others.
